【Nutrition Task Force】
Task Force Objectives
Our theme is to study the issues related to nutrition and health in Japan, and in particular to collect the scientific evidence linked to "healthy life extension". The aim of the Nutrition Task Force is to disseminate our results widely not only to Japan but also to Asia and Western countries.

Activities To Date (Achievements)
In cooperation with the ILSI Japan Board of Directors and the Secretariat, we have been holding and operating the International Conference on “Nutrition and Aging” once every four years since 1991. In addition, regarding the "Life Science Symposium" that has been held since 2006, we planned a new theme entitled “Integration of Nutritional Science and Physical Science Toward Prolongation of Healthy Lifespan" in 2017. This new theme was introduced at the 9th Life Science Symposium held in July 2018, and very well accepted by the audience from extensive scientific field.

The following table indicates the titles of the past international conferences on "Nutrition and Aging".

Future Activities
The 9th and 10th International Conference on “Nutrition and Aging” will be held in the fall of 2023 and 2027, respectively. In order to make the international conference a great success, it is important to plan attractive themes that match the times. Therefore, our activities are now focusing on collecting scientific evidence in various fields so that we can participate in the theme planning. We are also aiming to hold the 10th "Life Science Symposium" to announce our activities.
