【Tea Task Force】【Tea Information Working Group】
Task Force Objectives
 The aim of the task force is to deepen information exchange between its members concerning the biological and chemical diversity of tea plants worldwide, the functions of tea components in relation to beverages and other products, and any relevant research and product development. The task force also seeks to obtain information from external sources.


Activities To Date
1.
Abridged translation of the UK database relating to Tea and Health
2.
Various lectures given by researchers in the field
3.
Establishment and promotion of a project for unified component analysis of the world's tea plants
4.
Participation in the International Conference on O-CHA (tea) Culture and Science (ICOS)


Future Activities
1.
The task force will continue the Project for Analysis of the World's Tea Plants and their Chemical Components, and promote diversified sampling.
The following future plans will also be conducted:
1)
Increasing the precision of the data base
Specifying attributes such as sample collection date, region and cultivar
Collecting tea from major tea countries such as Sri Lanka and China
2)
Consideration of adding more applicable values to the existing tea component data base
