Task Force Objectives
The aim of the task force is to study the approaches for food product safety evaluation, including risk analysis methods, and to help popularize them.

Main Activities To Date
1.
  Task force working meetings have been held once every two months.
2.
  Seminars have been held for task force members.
3.
  Food risk assessment lectures have been held once or twice a year. In fiscal 2006, the sixth lecture was given on risk evaluation of mold toxins, and was attended by 73 people.
4.
  The lecturers were asked to write articles based on their lecture content, which were then published in the ILSI bulletin. To date, eight such articles have been published.

Future Activities
1.
  The working meetings will continue to be held once every two months.
2.
  Small seminars will be held as necessary.
3.
  Lectures will be held once a year. A satellite symposium will be held on November 2, 2007.
4.
  Lecture content will be summarized by the lecturer whenever possible and published in the ILSI bulletin.
5.
  The Points for Food Product Safety Evaluation will be completed and published in a special edition of the ILSI bulletin.
